Hi. I'm a reasonably competent and experienced landscape photographer, about the push the borders of my comfort zone considerably. In three days I will be taking part in an on-the-spot competition whose theme is People and Place. The competition is in the venerable and ancient English city of York and I'm looking to combine both elements of the subject by shooting a model in an iconic setting. In the first case, I will be shooting one of York Minster's stone masons working in the Minster Stoneyard; in the second I will be shooting a female model at the city's Victorian railway station setting
This is a quick video I put together today of my brother's model train layout. It's in a basement so the lighting was certainly less than ideal. Very pleased though! The video was shot mainly with the Sony A7 Mark 2 (XAVC-S) and a Sony Action Cam. My trusty Sony A99 was used for still photography. www.twotwentystudios.com YouTube Link: Let me know what you think. I am a very proud and happy user of Sony’s amazing A99 camera and have a full frame lens set ranging from 12mm to 200mm plus a TC that will take it to 400mm. At present I have an RX100, series 1, as a second camera but I am looking at getting a backup body for my A99 now that it is out of warranty and I use it on a regular basis. I have thought about waiting to see what Sony’s has in store on the A mount full frame side but also I am considering either another A99, something second hand or an A7 or mirrorless series with adapter. I have two ZA lenses and two Sigma's. I would be intereste
