Hey Guys, I'm not sure if this is possible while on A7SII in video mode. I usually use MF mode to focus on subjects but sometimes I want to check focus using AF by pressing the Shutter Button half way.

My lens is Sony 24-240 and is af/mf with no button on lens. The AF w/Shutter Option in the Settings (Gear, section 4)is turned on.

I can set the back af/mf button to toggle between af/mf and it will toggle while recording but it would be more convenient to use the shutter button.

Does anyone know of a way to use the shutter button half way to force auto focus while camera is set to manual focus mode?

No it wouldn't.

If you wanna check/confirm focus, use the magnifier.
