Hi everybody

Because I'm using my alpha 6000 on a drone I'm wondering if is possible to power the battery using one of the connectors and drone battery energy

The problem of changing the battery every 2 flights of 20 minutes is becoming a big limitation for my job

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance

Ciao

Hi Ottotto,

You may be interested in this: Battery charge . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

Unfortunately I don't think you can power the A6000 from an external source via the USP port.

My A7II doesn't allow it either. You have two options:

The simple solution is to buy more batteries. You can pick up some third party ones like this https://www.amazon.ca/Wasabi-Power-Battery-Charger-NP-FW50/dp/B0049WBZEK

The other less optimum solution where weight is a factor flying a drone is to buy a dummy battery and plug it into a power pack.

You probably have multiple drone batteries given the number of flights you appear to be making. Bust open your wallet and buy two, four, etc. more NP-FW50 batteries ;-)
