Sony A7SII Video Setting + smartphone application

Hello All,

 

I have just joined this forum and try to be a valuable member of this community.

 

Recently I purchased Sony A7S II for Video purpose only. I am a canon person for photography.

 

using my canon lenses with metabones IV 

 

So the questions I am having are (could be setting based)

 

1. When I go to XAVC  S 4K setting, I could only see 3 record settings as below

25p 100m

25p 60m

30p 60m

 

but the manual have lots of 24p and 30p 100m setting and even I checked few online video . Why it is not showing up on my caemra setting. Recently I have upgraded to v 2.0 firmware.

is it because I am not using native lenses? Please advise

 

2. While using smart remote app via playmemories, I can't change my aperture, iso or any other setting as per shown in this video

Also the app itself describe that you can control your camera...Please advise if there is any settings required?

Got my first question resolved..that have to be with NTSC setting.

 

Now with 2nd question...please advise

Check that you have Smart Remote Control Ver. 4.10.  You find that in Applications Tab, Application List, Application Management, Manage and Remove, Smart Remote Control enter.
