ugobeck
hello everybody, this is my first post I started today taking pictures with a A7ii, and I was suprised of this result. In other backlighted scenes I can see some purple dots, but this shower is unexpected. Other picks are gorgeous https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/29414072/DSC00077.JPG Olympia Sonnar (late Seventies, made in West Germany) f/4, 1/2500 at ISO 500 thank you so much for your help ugobeck
Advertisement Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Hi ugobeck, Take a look here purple dots shower. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Freddy
Are these created by software? What is the raw file like? If you do not have a raw file, it may be worthwhile to change your camera settings so that you shoot RAW+JPG. Take a similar shot and compare RAW and JPG. Perhaps the RAW file will be ok. Kind regards, Freddy.
MickDK
It is the lens. Looks like very bad red/green CA - like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromatic_aberration#/media/File:Filigranski_nakit_02_edit.JPG
Golem
It is the lens. Looks like very bad red/green CA Agreed. No question, no doubt. Not sure why he's working at wide aperture like that when he's got such an unnecessarily fast shutter speed. But that IS asking for trouble. Since it's very visible right in the middle of the frame it's longitudinal CA and so stopping down is worthwhile.
ugobeck
Golem is right, but I was just playing around. And, with your help, I learned something valuable. Thank you
