Just got my a7sii. I have a few questions i hope someone here could help me with.

How come I can't set the iso below 1600 when using the s-log3 picture profile?
What are to pros and cons for using the s-log3 profile. Will the iso cause any visible noise at this level on the a7sii?

Thanks

Actually 1600 ISO in S-Log is a big improvement over the previous A7S. S-Log requires the higher sensitivity to achive its goal which is...

S-Log 3 stretches the dynamic range to about 14 stops - doing this mostly in the highlight range while shadows are not much different than with say PP5 or PP6 using Cine gamma. So you should not see much noise as this occurs mostly in shadows BUT...

To shoot S-Log 3 you really should avoid lowlight or evenings. Actually there is little point stretching DR to 14 stops in a lowlight situation anyway. AND you should overexpose a little - say one stop and this again helps with noise so you can bring down your levels in post. Noise is an issue when you raise levels in shadows so S-Log helps by allowing you to reduce brightness in post... ie the contrast.

Hope this helps.
