  1. Using my BRK (C) 0.5-EV-3 setting yields only two shutter fires. The third can only be achieved by holding down the shutter, usually during a long exposure. I know other A7II owners are facing this issue. Thoughts? Fixes?
  2. Hello everyone, I've recently purchased a Sony a7ii and immediately updated the system software to the latest one 3.1. As I am exploring the camera right now, I cant find the option to shoot bracket photos for HDR with a self-timer. I have already searched the web and every forum points out at a setting located at Menu > Camera Settings 2 > Bracket Settings > Selftimer during Bracket. My problem is that I cant find Bracket Settings at that location at all. Can anybody please help?
  3. Is there a way to set bracketing so that I take one exposure at the metered setting then the remaining e postures at negative stops only? I could could only bracket plus and minus exposures around the correct metered exposure.
  4. I am about buying an A6400, because of the Real tracking and Eye AF. However, I would also need an automatic function for focus bracketing or focus stacking and I realized that no Alpha cameras have one. Therefore I created a petition to Sony to request it. If you want to sign and share itm you can find it here If this kind of topic is not allowed, please remove it.
  5. I'm a new A7R iv owner and been playing around with bracketed HDR using long exposure times on my tripod mounted camera. Ive attached a shot I took yesterday (edited with Aurora HDR). I originally tried to shoot this at an aperture of f 11 with an iso of 100, but the exposure time would have been > 30 sec (which is the slowest exposure time offered in the setting for keeping the iso at 100). Only at f 4 could I get the slowest bracketed exposure time to be less than 30 sec. I did constrain the iso to be 100, but is there some limit on exposure length that I am not aware of? Arguably, I'd like the camera to take all the time it needs to shoot the image at the chosen aperture and chosen iso setting. I'm sure I've done something wrong in the setup, but I'm not sure what!
  6. I have had my A7II for a while and I really like it. But there is one issue that makes me so mad I sometimes consider changing camera just because of that. And I just want to confirm that there is no workaround for this that I have missed. The issue is that I'm always use back button focus and that seems to prevent me from taking HDR bracketed images in a good way. The reason is that the camera does not allow to take HDR bracketed images using timer (like the A7RII does) and then you need to use a remote to not shake the camera. However, the remote doesn't allow you to take pictures if the AF is not enabled for the shutter button (i.e. when I use back button focus, the remote doesn't work). Is there a workaround for this? In my opinion ever serious landscape photographer uses back button focus (or manual), so it's a deal breaker to not be able to take HDR in any sane way with this enabled...
  7. Hi all, I am wondering what are the specific options for shooting timelapses in HDR. I don't mind buying new hardware, mobile apps or using existing bracketing options in camera. What I like to achieve is programable timelapse, when each shot is shot in multiple exposures. My camera is Sony Alpha A7SII. Cheers for any input, JC
  8. I'm an underwater photographer and i'm wondering if I can set up exposure bracketing (in any of the 3 or 5 shot configurations) while I have an external flash connected? The bracketing works fine without the flash connected, but as soon as I turn it on/connect it, the bracketing stops working. Perhaps there's a particular set of setting that need to be configured to allow this to happen, or perhaps it's just not possible. Thanks in advance for any advice.
