Image resolution problem

Hello, 

I have an issue with image and video resolution with my Sony a7iv. Basically, the quality is set to 1616x1080p after it was 700_x4672p at 3:2 frame. No matter how I try to change the settings in the image quality settings I cannot get back the desired resolution. I reset the camera many times and the issue persists. Can Anyone help, please?

What video mode have you chosen? Some modes come with an unavoidable crop.

Bear in mind also that you will not get 3:2 aspect ratio in video - it will usually be 16:9.

1616 x 1080 sounds unlikely - if it's 1080 high it will usually be 1920 wide. Did you guess at the 1616 based on the 180p (a 3:2 aspect ratio with 1080 would be 1620)?

If you put the camera back into stills mode you should be able to take photos in the original resolution. That's the switch under the PASM dial.
