Hello everyone. I have a new FX3 and noticed that the 3.5mm headphone jack is very loose. When I plug in my SONY headphones, the plug seats firmly in place, but the jack itself is very loose. The jack within the camera body wiggles back and forth and up and down. I tried another set of phones, and it does the same thing. So, it is not the 3.5mm headphone plug. The connection works, and I hear audio, but the jack itself is very loose. Is this port tight on your cameras? If all of yours are loose, then I guess this is the way it is. I've used Betacam's, FS5, FX6, etc., and none of those are like this. I've attached a video of what it looks like.

Thanks for your help.

Does seem looser than what I've ever encountered but that may be exaggerated by the 'lever arm' the jack and cable introduce into the mix. I advise against having any cable projecting straight out from the jack which will have constant gravitational forces pulling on it.

When I rig up I use a right angle jack that has any vertical force on the cable disconnecting before torquing the socket all out of whack. Downstream from the jack is a section that's locked into a strain relief that receives the headphones. Speedy reconnects when cans no longer needed.
