I've just taken my first pics with a Zeiss Loxia 35mm.

Wow! I've heard about the Zeiss "pop" but now I understand what that means.

It's something to do with the separation of foreground from background, clarity and beautiful colour.

Posting the images here would not do them justice due to the max file size allowed here. You need to try one for yourself - (maybe I'll try some comparison shots that I can crop down to the desired file size).

Glad to see this thread, as I was also wondering about the "Zeiss pop", but I'm interested in a Loxia 25mm f2.4. And, in whole honesty, looking at pictures on the web (mainly flickr) I must confess I am really not impressed by the Zeiss rendition. Probably it would be less noticeable on an ultra-wide lens, but still wondering.

And trying one for myself would cost me about 1k euro, so a bit expensive for an experiment.
