  1. Hi, I have bought a new lens the FE 70-300 g oss and the contacts have a little wear and i'm wondering if this is from it being used and returned or is this normal or could it be from factory calibration? I have already demanded a replacement (should arrive soon) but i would like to know if the next one has any kind of wear on the contacts if this is normal Many thanks. Akil
  2. Hi All! I recently had the chance to play with the new Sony 90mm 2.8 for awhile and thought I'd shoot a little insect video while I had it. Besides being awesome for portrait work and photography, this lens is crazy cool for capturing some weird little creatures. Check it out: I would say this lens is a must own for people who do a lot of portrait of (obviously) macro work. With 4K video it retains an incredible amount of detail and is super sharp. For me, this feels sharper and cleaner than even the magical 55mm F1.8 and, my personal favorite, the Zeiss Loxia line. It's definitely a bit large and that is the main reason that is keeping me from purchasing it. I do a lot of film on the road an I put low-light and multi-functional gear high on the list. Multi-functional (macro, portrait, mid-tele) this lens is, but small for the A7 series it is not. I'd rather take my two Zeiss Loxias for a trip that is going to be mostly video. For photography, I'd find room for this bad boy.
