Hopefully this will be helpful for some of you who are planning to get the Commlite Canon to Sony AF adapter for the new bodies with Phase Detection. Me and my buddies were just curious about how well some of the Canon L Prime (plus the newer 40mm STM) will perform with the adapter, and we video captured the output and slapped them into a video. Not exactly a scientific comparison but does give an idea. Lenses: Canon EF 200mm f2.8 L ii Canon EF 135mm f2 L Canon EF 100 f2.8 macro L IS Canon EF 85mm f1.2 L ii Canon EF 40mm f2.8 STM Canon EF 24mm f1.4 L ii One thing I noticed is that the newer design lenses (2009 and later) seems to perform better on camera with phase detect, whereas the older ones perform better on contrast detect. Here is a quick one of just A6300 with just 85L ii, 40STM, 24L ii Thanks for checking it y'all
