Hi, could please someone who owns an LA-EA4 clarify this for me: in manual focus, can I still move the box for the focus magnification all over the image area, or I'm restricted to one of the LA-EA4 focus points (all grouped in the center)? Thanks!

Has anyone using the Sony LA-EA4 adapter experienced it losing connection with the camera body. I tried it on several bodies and lens combinations recently. The f/stop and AF feature works only after slightly moving the camera or lens . I cleaned the contacts on both sides of the adapter. It has worked fine for over 2 years

The release of the Sony a7II was perfect for me. I had already acquired a 70-400 mm Sony zoom (old version). Originally, the long zoom was paired with an a77, but with the LA-EA4 adapter I can use the zoom with the a7 II. The camera's stabilizer works with this telephoto and I am including some photographs of a House Finch. The bird is small: 3-4 inches I believe. I got as close as I could, but the bird only occupied a quarter of the field of view. So these cropped down pictures were originally 1000 pixels on their longest side. The male is adorned with his red courting feathers while the female lacks the colorful feathers.

Does anyone have a problem using the LA-EA4 on A7S while using a monopod or a tripod. I have ordered 24-70 f2.8 with LA-EA4 for my A7S, but feel it may not fit on my monopod.

I am using the LA-EA4 sony adapter to fit the Tamron 150-600 lens with stunning results but it only seems to take JPEGs even though the camera is set to JPEG+RAW , it will take RAW if the camera is set to RAW only, has anybody got any suggestions please. I cropped this down 50% for ease of viewing but its still large sorry about that
