  1. Rocky Nebula: A7RII + FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS www.JordanSternPhotography.com
  2. From the album: Birds In Flight

Captured using the Sony A7RII with Sony 70-200 F4 FE lens. 149mm / F6.3 / 1/2000 / ISO 500 (auto ISO). I used the Wide Focus Area with Continuous Focus. This turned on focus tracking. I then used the back (AF/MF) button to turn on focusing and activated the shutter in bursts as the bird flew. The tracking worked excellently. About 90% of all my shots were in sharp focus.

  11. I took this picture a few days ago while in Florida. It is a Double Crested Cormorant shot with an A6000 and 55 - 210mm.
  12. Picture I recently took of my girls bird. Sony A6000 w/ 55 - 210mm lens.
  13. In early May, I visited Tanzania and spent 8 wonderful days on a photo safari. Especially for this trip, I bought a new camera - Sony A77M2, which was used in tandem with the lens Sony 300 / 2.8. As a second camera I was always on hand with a lens Sony A99 Sony 70-200 / 2.8. For landscapes I changed the lens on the Zeiss 24-70 / 2.8. It was very convenient, since there is always at hand Range from 24 to 450 mm. In the first part I want to show photos taken in Lake Manyara National Park, I hope you enjoy. Bird
  14. The release of the Sony a7II was perfect for me. I had already acquired a 70-400 mm Sony zoom (old version). Originally, the long zoom was paired with an a77, but with the LA-EA4 adapter I can use the zoom with the a7 II. The camera's stabilizer works with this telephoto and I am including some photographs of a House Finch. The bird is small: 3-4 inches I believe. I got as close as I could, but the bird only occupied a quarter of the field of view. So these cropped down pictures were originally 1000 pixels on their longest side. The male is adorned with his red courting feathers while the female lacks the colorful feathers.
  15. I captured this Red Footed Booby tonight while we cruising around the Pacific Ocean. This was taken with the 55 - 210mm lens. The birds were hovering above the bridge on my ship, USCGC Stratton, and I thought what the heck I see if I can get a picture. I processed the pic in LR6, only using the shadow adjustment to bring out the underside of the bird.
  16. Nex 3n. Vivitar Series I, 100mm-500mm f5.6 Cabo San. Lucas, BCS, Mexico.
