Sony Lens Filter Sizes?

Hi Folks,

 

I'm just getting started with a Sony A7II purchase, Sony A6000 purchase along with some lenses.

 

My question is based on all the variable filter sizes, do most of you folks buy filters, UV, CPL ND for each different lens size or use step up rings.

 

So far I've purchased a Sony FE 24-70MM and Sony 10-18MM, Sony 18-200MM and bought filter sizes for each one.

 

Any feedback would be appreciated.

What type of Lee Filters have you purchased?

They have a set, Seven5, with 5 filters (including a polarizer) which seems fairly interesting.

I'll have to take a look at them, do you know if the set includes all of the various filter size rings?

Forget about "protection" filters, they do more havoc than good in protecting the lens plus they degrade IQ.

 

Just use a lens hood, they actually do protect the lens while improving IQ as a bonus.

I use step up rings on my smaller lenses.

 

I own a lot of 58mm filters from my Canon days, and I use step up rings so I can mount them on my Sony lenses. Much cheaper than buying new ones.
