Beats me why you included all that stuff but fuzzed

it out like a Kotton Kandy Kingdom. I assume there

are other frames that don't have that problem ? At

a reasonable f/stop, her face might be in focus. In

this shot sharp focus falls on her shoulder and butt.

Suspect using AF on a stationary subject ? If so, it

apparently found more detail in the fabrics than in

her face ... which is no sooprise. MF with peaking

would do likewise.

If the machine ran the show, it's understandable it

might focus where the detail is richest and it might

seek a steady-handed shutter speed at the cost of

no DoF. If the user ran the show, presumably there

are other frames at other settings, as this is not a

one-off candid "street-grab" by the look of it.

OTOH, I'm not at all bothered by the angle. It looks

about right for a view of the scene from waist high,

which I'm guessing is what you're showing us ? If

it's meant to sell fashions, then the butt focus is on

the money, altho if the shopping mall location was

selected as being appropriate to the attire, it could

be far more recognizable yet still not be distracting.

This could as well be in a modern office building or

an airport or hotel. Not suggesting f/22 ... just 4.0 !

No reason to avoid ISO 200 or 400 with a modern

FF camera. ISO 100 ? Your speed and aperture is

dictated, no choices :-(

I said I liked the angle. And IF it's a fashion shot, an

even crazier angle can work. Gotta grab those page

flipping Vogue readers by the eyeballs :-) And I DO

see it as a fashion shot, or a similar idea. No portrait

customer would ever buy all that unoccupied space,

even if the focus were on her face. As some sort of

commercial image it holds up. Even all of that empty

space can be useful, A magazine cover needs room

for the rag's name plus all the teaser blurbs. But as

a portrait of that person ? Just not it.

Last time I shot in a mall, I did get invited into the security

office. I was shooting "local color" recruiting/PR work as a

staffer for a government entity, specifically a community

college, so I had my staff photo ID, and a script and story

board with me, so all went well.
