Horrible vignette?

Recommended Posts

Hello gang, thank you for the ad.

I'm shooting with an a7ii and using a Fotiox adapter with Olympus OM manuel focus lenses.

For some reason I'm getting this very heavy vignette on one side when shooting wide open.

I just ordered a Metabones adapter, hoping it might be this cheap one.

Anyone have any idea what could cause this?

Thanks,

michael

Just for my own interest, is your first sample the whole frame, or have you cropped just a corner to show the vignette?

If it is the whole frame then it is very odd indeed and I could only guess at some form of 'in lens mask' has slipped out of position, but I'm not aware of any such part.

Both files are untouched, not cropped. I have checked my settings and turned off "front curtain sync" we'll see what does. But like I said If I shoot at 5.6 it's fine, it only happens when wide open.
