Are you saying that only one of several card readers will work on the same USB port? It could be a bad port. Most computers have more than one USB port. Do you get the same results with a different port? When you insert the reader in the USB port -- without a card in it -- does an LED light up and does your computer beep?

So I understand that with a 61 MP sensor you're going to get more noise. But the amount I am getting in low light is just terrible. Worse in the EVF, but very poor on LCD screen as well. So much, that it is often hard to tell what I'm focusing on in night shots. My Canon R5 in the same conditions shows black, as in not a hint of noise. See attached images.Welcome, dear visitor!
