Hello.

New to Sony cameras. Noticed a glow and a heavy lack of detail on a6100. First pic was shot with stock lens at 50mm f5.6 1/100 iso800, style standard, no DRO, out of camera fine jpeg, 100% crop. The lens and sensor are clean. Why does it look so heavily processed? How to make it look accurate? Like in second image (different camera brand 26 MP apsc, same settings and conditions, out of camera jpeg).

Thank you.

Vlad

Were both cameras at the COMPLETE factory default settings?  That's the place to start.

Next were they both using the same lens at the same settings?

IF you use the same lens on both cameras the difference can be  attributed to the factory settings -- which are always different, but can be adjusted.

IF you are using different lenses, the there is no way to know if the difference is with the camera or the lens or BOTH.
