Sony A7S uses BSI-CMOS?

Hello. I wanted acertain what type sensors do Sony A7S and as well Sony A3000 camera's use? To my knowledge somewhere around 2013 year new backlit CMOS started to use but specification doesn't clarify what type CMOS is used. Backlit CMOS sensor are significantly more sensitive than older frontlit sensors.

The place where backlit sensors made an enormous difference was in small sensors, like phone cameras, because the wiring took up a big part of the sensor area in a front-lit sensor, so the backlit sensor had more sensing area.

On a full frame (even an APS-C) sensor the difference between front lit and back lit sensors diminishes to be almost negligible. (wires take up the same space, but the pixels are much larger, so the proportion of the space used by wiring is small)

I wouldn't worry about it.

The current model of A7S, the mark III, definitely has a BSI sensor.
