I have seen great reviews about the viewfinder, but mine does not seem that great. I suspect the lens, anybody else have a problem. Cheers Barry.

Hi Bluesmakebaz,

You may be interested in this: SONY A1 VIEWFINDER PROBLEM . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

  • Olaf W. changed the title to SONY A1 VIEWFINDER PROBLEM

That's really the smallest amount of information one could possibly provide on a problem. It's like saying: 'I don't like my lens release button, I suspect the lens is the culprit.'

I suspect the viewfinder lens, my A9, has a clearer picture in the viewfinder. Thanks, Barry.

Did you try the diopter adjustment wheel? It's a tiny wheel on the right of the viewfinder. Best remove the eyecup from the viewfinder for better access.

of course, tried all the basic stuff, I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem. And can the lens be changed without a complete strip down of the camera.

Good luck with this one, Pieter!!!

Thanks, but I give up. I'm left fishing in the dark here, blindfolded.

.........with your hands tied behind your back!!!

There you go, even Pieter has tossed in the towel!

If you think your camera has a problem and you are still within the time to return the camera for a replacement window, please do so asap.

Good approach -- unless the camera is out of warranty.  But I must admit, in this case it seems to be easier than actually fully explaining and describing the "problem".
