Hi guys,

was wondering if anyone would like to share what bag they are using for a7 system?

Currently I have Think Tank 30 which fits nicely every singe lens I have, for longer travels.

I want to buy a smaller one that could fit a body with adapter and 2 Zeiss Contax lenses (85mm 1.4, 35mm 1.4).

Thank you.

This is really impossible.

Do you keep the shades on the lenses ?

Carry a flash ? Spare batteries are a

must-have, but do you carry a charger ?

Do you work in a crowd ? Can you safely

put the bag down ? Chances are you'll

need more bags than you think. Possibly

more than your budget will allow :-(

Sorry I can't recommend specifics, but

I can tell you ... make that WARN you ...

that I have zillion bags and a lotta gear,

and fitting an outfit to a bag remains a

challenge every time I pack up.

He mentioned that is looking for:

He did not even mention working so why all the questions.

Small camera bag that can hold a body + two lenses.

Try Think Tank 5

For me the Think Tank line is generally over-priced.  I got the Lowepro Inverse 100AW from B&H:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/563898-REG/Lowepro_LP35233_PEU_Inverse_100_AW_Beltpack.html

I just packed it for a two week trip:

1.  A7 ii

2.  Sigma 24mm f1.4 Art (a beast at 23oz)

3.  Sony 55mm f1.8

4.  Sony 35mm f2.8

5.  Sony HVL-F20 flash

6.  Three batteries

7.  External charger

And the camera body and all lenses have neoprene rubber cases by Zing.

And there is a spot for a water bottle too.

The  included shoulder strap allows for added versatility and comfort.

The cost $51 no tax and free shipping.  Nuff said!

I bought a bunch of these inserts from China on ebay for, I think, 2 or 3€ each. A similar one is this ebay number: 251985462812 (just copy&paste into their search bar).

They are pretty well made, and being (relatively) small means that they are modular; when I need a lot of gear I simply carry one more of them, but if I'm traveling light I can take just one.

Also the bag, obviously, varies according on how much gear I plan to take. I can safely stuff them into a normal shoulder/messenger bag (between 2 and 3 in a single row, up to 6 stacked, depending on how big your particular messenger bag is), mix them with other non-photographic stuff, or even put them into a technical backpack when I'm out for a serious hike.

One of these inserts can carry two large Contax lenses (in the pictures you may see the 28-85mm Vario-Sonnar and the 60mm Makro-Planar with the K&F adapter), or up to four Leica M / rangefinder lenses. The only lenses that don't fit too well in them (meaning: I can fit them into the insert, but I cannot close the cover) are my over-180mm lenses and the large zooms like the 100-300 Vario-Sonnar. My solution is to simply stuff these big lenses between two inserts when I pack a bag... :)

Im sure this is more bag then you were looking for...

Im using a Maxpedition Colossus, fits my camera, hiking, and other gear.  Built to last, offers some good padded protection in the main compartment, but added an Ape case camera insert as well.  This type of bag is meant to be expandable. Not only does it have a lot of zippered pockets, but the sides and bottom have Pals (Molle) webbing where you can attach accessories, pouches, etc.  There are a ton of pals compatible pouches and holders, padded water bottle holders are perfect for carrying additional lenses.

Maxpedition is a bit tactical, and doesn't scream camera bag. Or does it?
