video clips cannot be transferred to a CD

Dear All,

I have a Sony A3000 and a Mac. When I put the SD card into a card reader for the Mac, I cannot "see" the video clips. And so I cannot transfer them to a CD. A Private folder is available on the sd card  and in there are the video clips, and I can play them in Quicktime but I do not know how to burn the info onto a cd. Normally I would just drag and drop a file to a Toast burn folder but in this case nothing happens. If it helps the clips have photo previews.

 

I appreciate I should read the manual for the camera but it is not readily available. Any thoughts? I am sure the answer is obvious but I am normally strictly a photographer and I normally never shoot video. Thank you v much. JL-Y
