My MF Assist not working Sony A7ii

My MF assist not working (yes I am turning the focus wheel)

MF assist turned ON. in Settings

Focus Mag set to 5 secs. in Settings

Anyone care to help out a new photographer?

Are you actually in Manual Focus mode?

I've tried each mode. I should add that I've seen the MF assist working on this camera a dozen times before.

I figured it out!  Camera "Focus mode" setting was on AFS switched to MF or DMF NOT AFS  and the Magnification Focus and Peeking work again. yeah! Ill leave this post up, perhaps it will help another newbie.
