You can try adjusting the brightness of your camera's viewfinder: Menu-->Setup-->Viewfinder Bright But then again once your iris has acclimatized to the ambient conditions maybe it will be too bright for comfort?

Any lens mounted on my A99 has a free play, that affects the focussing.. The free play is to do with the lens being able to push in/out of about 1mm or so, that does not seem normal to be from memory. Where should I look at, did I miss something. It is so simple to simple insert, turn to until a click to tell me it is locked in. Without pushing the releasse button it won't come out, so it must has been locked in properly. When pushing in the free play, I can see the release button is moving as well. Is that repairable? Where should I take it to in Sydney area for repair? Likely expensive, or I better off junk the whole thing since it is over 5 year old. Thanks for any pointers.

After hours and hours with AI on this subject, I would really appreciate any help from anyone here. I have a SONY A7 IV camera, and I'm looking forward to controlling the shutter speed and aperture separately. After all, M mode is for that. Even though I'm in M mode, the aperture and shutter move automatically, and together. What can I do? This is so frustrating. My apologies in advance for any small mistakes because I'm using Google Translate.
