  1. Is it just me or is anyone else really annoyed by the flashing "steady shot" icon in the monitor and finder of the A7Rii. I don't need that warning. I'm experienced enough to know what I can hand-hold and what I can not. I have steady shot turned on. What's worse, is that is flashes over the image itself. I could probably live with it if it was displayed on the edge. It flashes away distracting the composition. It keeps on flashing even if I select the "no info" display option. "No info" means "no info": nada, nothing, zip, empty, image only - it does not mean "no info but we still insist on flashing the steady shot icon". Please, please, please Sony, give us a menu option to turn off that flashing warning. PLEASE! Regards Peter
  2. Is it just me or does that flashing steady shot indicator on the monitor / finder drive everyone nuts? I wouldn't mind too much if it was displayed right on the edge of the screen but it intrudes over the main image area, sometimes onto the forehead of a person in the image. I get why an inexperienced photographer might need such a warning but, all my photo life I've known to look at the shutter speed to see if handheld is doable. I know what shutter speed / focal length I can handhold. I don't need that warning, ever. Is there anyway of getting rid of it? I guess we can just hope that, one day, Sony puts a flag in the firmware: Steady Shot warning On/Off. Next A7Rii firmware upgrade. PLEASE! Regards Peter
  3. Hello there, i am a new member of this forum. Just wondering if anyone can give me a suggestion. I tested my Sony a7ii with MF Canon FDn 500mm f/4.5 L lens, mounted on a CF tripod (Sirui N-2204), steady shot set at 500mm then shot on and off both mode, shutter speed around 1/800 to 1/1500 but can not get a sharp image. I even can see on the magnified LCD (without touching anything) the picture is not stable, kind of vibrating. Is it camera problem or Tripod? Please help me.Thank you.
  4. I just received an a7ii with a 70-200mm 4.0 FE lens and via the menu turned on the camera's internal steady shot to on and the setting on auto. I then setup Steady Shot as one of the Fn functions and when I go to activate it I get an error message that "Steady Shot is invalid with this lens". I'm not sure if it is user error but I was under the impression that the internal steady shot enhances the Optical Steady Shot of the lens by added a couple more axis. Any advice would be most appreciated.
