A6300 video focus lock

When filming with the a6300 creatively I want to be able to autofocus on something and then keep the focus on that object without the camera searching for a new focus point when I move it around.

 

Is that possible?

If you are using a Sony lens continuous focus mode will allow you to track objects. There are several very helpful videos on You Tube that describe all the menu settings. When working correctly the object being tracked will be surrounded by a box that tracks the movement. I found my non Sony lens did not work.
