I have these faint but noticeable lines that run vertically through sky and through image. I cannot find any forums discussing my exact issues and it is not a banding or silent shutter issue in my belief. Never happens when I’m stopped down all the way, only when my aperatures are above 8 I think. But makes no sense and it does not happen all the time. I have cleaned my sensor w/ photosol Aero-Clipse as recommended by a lot of users and have done this a few times as the sensor needed the cleaning from having a lot of dust and specs. The sensor has no more particles or dust as the cleaning worked, but now am having trouble w/ these lines! I don’t think the cleaning had anything to do with it, but not sure at this point and it basically ruins my images. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx you!

Jaf make a lotta sense. I believe the same but that

leads me to ask if your vocabulary is backwards ....

I mean, f/8 is about the middle of the range. SMALL

apertures exaggerate such problems. Please clarify

which f/stop your refer to as "stopped all the way

down".

"Stopping down" will exaggerate things, as already

mentioned. You say there's another variable that is

harder to identify. IOW it doesn't happen all the time

even at the troublesome apertures. OK, the other

variable is focal length. If you're not aware of that,

you wouldn't have reported any response to how it

provokes [or doesn't provoke] the lines.
