Hello,

I have the a6000 and i enjoy it a lot. But the time has come to buy some strobes for home and around. I liked the one here:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141352924565?euid=0c7f603ffc5c4895a834b67280882c27&bu=44173132638&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu

Unfortunately the representative of the store(he was very polite) said the trigger is not sony compatible and here i thought "aren`t all triggers the same for all cameras(sony, canon, nikon, pentax, etc)"

Do you have any idea what may i need to make this kit work because i liked the reviews? Or the representative is a little confused about sony cameras and it will work on my sony a6000 as it is?

Hi,

Did a quick search on the Godox DE-300 strobe, they are basic strobes (ie. no ability to adjust power remotely, TTL, etc.). Thus you can pick up a cheap wireless transmitter / receiver kit to fire them from any camera that has a center pin hot shoe. They would work on your A6000.

If you look at a shot of the back of the DE-300 you can see a mini jack Sync port.

Pick up one of these from Amazon and you'll be good to go: https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Photo-Studio-Accessories/Neewer-Channel-Wireless-Trigger-Transmitter-Receiver-Monolight/B003LYSIKQ/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1487699521&sr=1-5&keywords=wireless+trigger

Note: depending on the mini jack size on the strobe and the one on the wireless receiver you may have to also pick up a mini jack step up or step down adapter. Don't worry, they're cheap.

You really only need one receiver because the specs state the strobes have optical slave triggering. You really only have to pop one strobe and it will set off the other two.

You didn't originally mention you had an X1T-S. Absolutely, that's the best option.

I built in receivers in the Godox AD600BM is cross compatible with Sony, Canon and Nikon transmitters but the XTR-16's used with the DE-300 seem to be manufacturer specific (S, C & N) so you're best to pick up the Sony version.
