Advertisement Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Hi Kaybeewebb, Take a look here Sony a5000 video tips.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Dollanganger
Welcome aboard. What are you shooting? People? Places? The basic auto setting on the A5000 handle basic things just fine, focusing, line. The A5000 can should AVCHD which isn't new for Sony users but most SLRs don't offer it because it's too high quality for most camera to handle. You can also record in the lower setting of "MP4" which is what most people refer to as 1080. Please keep in mind that while the A5000's AVCHD video results are stunning, you'll need a high quality TV to appreciate it. The A5000 unfortunately has a low quality panel so the playback won't look very sharp. Also keep in mind that YouTube, FaceBook and similar websites will automatically recompress your AVCHD video so it won't look as sharp their either. It's not the videos fault it's super high quality.
