I 've never had this problem before.
When I turn the camera on, the language menu appears.
I cannot quit this menu, so I pick English
Then I have to set the full date again.
At this point I am able to hit menu to exit.
Thanks.
I have been a Sony Alpha user for many years and this is the first time I've been unable to update the firmware of my camera. I am shooting with the a1markII. My computer is a Mac M4 Max . And I have been trying for two days straight to upgrade from Version 2.00 to version 3.00. I've tried with three different cards, carefully formatting the card with my camera and then downloading the firmware from Sony's site to the card. But when I load the card, my camera refuses to recognize or load the new firmware.
I've also tried to update the firmware using the iPhone Creators App. I can connect my phone to the camera using Bluetooth, but then I'm absolutely foiled. The app shows no signs of having any new firmware to download, and when I tap the Camera button as instructed, nothing shows up for me to upload.
Has anyone else successfully updated to version 3.00 using a Mac? Are there any secret instructions that I'm missing? This is incredibly frustrating!
