It is one of my all time favorite lenses.

 

I actually have two of them, because when I already had the m39 version I stumbled on a m42 one for sale for just 15€, and I couldn't just let it stay with such an unappreciative owner :)

 

The m42 variant has a focusing ring that is a bit easier to turn, and as well a preset aperture that is quite useful shooting the lens on a mirrorless camera; otherwise my two copies performs much the same. And maybe I got lucky, but neither is particularly soft wide open on the A7r (at least for a legacy lens).

Wow! 15 euro is really cheap!

 

I just got it from Ukraine and learn what it can do

 

It is one of my all time favorite lenses.

I got really lucky! It was bundled with a not working old Minolta camera, and not listed specifically in the auction title. Thanks to my super-vision for gear I don't really need :) I spotted it in the picture...
