Problem with A7 IV Creating New Folders

I normally create my own custom folders in my A7 IV and the camera will use these for a bit.  Then, with no warning or notice, the camera will create another new folder (with its default naming) and start using this new folder.  I've talked to Sony about it and they seem to have never heard this.  I've hoped that a firmware update would eventually fix this.
 

Anyone else experiencing this?  Suggestions??
