Sony A7iii HDMI feed not displayed on ASUS portable monitor

Hello,

Trying to connect Sony A7iii Camera HDMI output to ASUS MB16AH monitor (15.6" portable USB-C powered monitor with Micro HDMI input) but am getting "Out of range" error on the ASUS display.

Am using a Micro HDMI male to regular HDMI female cable connected to a regular HDMI male to Micro HDMI male cable. So 2 cables to get to the Micro HDMI as both the camera and monitor use Micro HDMI.

The Camera HDMI output resolution is set to 1080p. But also tried 1080i and 2160p without success.

On another 27" ASUS HDMI monitor and TV and Lilliput external monitor, the signal works fine (all use regular HDMI so with other cable setup of course).

Please advise.

for what it's worth, the MB16AH does work with computers using regular HDMI male to Micro HDMI male cable.

Issue fixed.

The ASUS monitor does not support PAL.

Solution:

Changed camera to NTSC.
