I’m trying to decide which lens to purchase next. The lenses I currently have for my a6300 are: Rokinon 12mm f2 wide angle, E55-210mm f4.5-6.3 OSS telephoto and the kit lens (E16-50mm f3.5-5.6 OSS). The combination of these focal lengths satisfy my needs for most situations- so far I think I’m most attracted to landscape and portrait photography. What I hope to add to my asenal is an upgraded lens that can produce superb images for portraits and landscapes. Many online reviewers recommend E35mm f1.8 OSS prime as an ideal upgrade from the kit lens. I think it can be a great choice. However, the allure of FE16-35mm f4 OSS is also great. On my A6300, this will effectively be a 24-56mm lens, which seems to be suitable for both landscape and portrait. It has the added benefit that if I do upgrade to a full-frame camera down the road I won’t have to purchase a new wide-angle lens again. The downsides are the much steeper price tag compared to the E-mount lens, and that the max aperture is only f4...

What are your thoughts? Is the FE lens worth it as a long term investment? How would the image quality compare between these two lenses? Many thanks!!
