Switching between photos and video with the A7S II

I am using an A7S II and am in Aperture Priority mode. I want to take some photos so I hit the record video button. Are the video record settings using the same settings that are being used in the Aperture Priority mode?

No they are not the same.

 

You need to switch from Aperture priority mode to movie mode (the movie icon). Then you set the video settings in the menu.

If you push record it uses the active (aperture priority) settings, including picture profile and everything.

 

I have setup M1/M2 for 25p@1/50s / 50p@1/100s both in PP7 (s-log2) on my A7II, so I can quickly record something with my usual video settings.
