When do you think a price drop will happen for A7RII?

I've been looking and the only ones I could find is through eBay resellers. But what about a real price drop from a reputable retailer? When do you predict it will happen?

Just from my own experience last year.  Sony ran some great promos in March thru End of June. I bought two Sony cameras and saved $400 on one, and $300 on the other (w/ Lenses).  My cost was still lower then current retail prices 10 months later.

 

Where ever you buy, its a good idea to at least have 30 days price protection.

Certainly here in Germany Sony appears to have found ways to instill some extraordinary price discipline into the market - no real bargains to be had out there as far as I've seen

European pricing is really bad. 3500€ is over 3800$ at current exchange rates. Yet the only way to get the A7rII in Germany for less is at dubious UK importers that use the Hong Kong tax priviliges. I am also waiting for a price drop to at least US price levels.

Check FredMiranda.com, buy/sell/trade forums.  I've been buying there for years with great success.  I've recently seen the A7rii in like-new to very good condition there for $2500-2850.  Just be sure that the seller has a Great feedback of at least 10 or more.  There are sellers there with feedback ratings of 50 to over 100 and you'll get your gear in great shape quickly and with great communication.  It's one of the best buy/sell/trade online communities out there. Also, a terrific place to view and post your work.

B&H sells it for $3200 with $200 gift card plus $320 buying credit toward something else. Assuming you use all the credit and gift card money, that's $2680. And that's brand new, full USA warranty, legit seller with invoice for tax purposes, etc. If I were in Europe, I'd think about a trip to America that includes picking up one of these deals. I'm doing a round trip to Eastern Europe for under $500 round trip to California from Norwegian Air.

Oversea's vendors on ebay have them under 3k.. Are those good? Will they have warranty here in the US?

I suspect a price drop will come as the release date for the 5DIV approaches. While both cameras are head to head competitors they still compete for our money in that price range.
