FE24-70GM MK2

Hello all,

 

I recently upgraded my FE24-70GM and FE70-200GM lenses to the Mk2 versions.

I had been using the Mk1 versions on my A7Riii without any issues for years.

(Main reason for the switch was weight)

 

I used the lenses a lot for 3 weeks while traveling and noticed that the 24-70GM Mk2 misses focus from time to time.

The lens is updated to the latest firmware, and I haven't changed any settings in the camera body.

 

I am using the half-press of the shutter button to focus. And from time to time I see the lens refocusing just as I press to capture.

With a blurry image as a result.

I never had this once while using the Mk1 version of this lens.

Anyone else seen this behavior?
