Aurora borealis in the south of Norway

Not a fantastic image, but the aurora borealis (Northern lights) is very rare in the south of Norway, so i am pretty happy with it!

 

It is taken with the A7 and a Tamron 17-35 2.8-4 @17mm f2.8, using the mobile app as a remote.

Exciting !

 

I always looked out on for the lights during my skiing holidays in the vicinity of Lillehammer, but they are very rare that south. You see very diffused lights once you photograph the sky if you're lucky, but next to nothing with the naked eye.

 

I guess you really need to go up to Tromsø to get some decent lights :(

 

How far south were you?
