Sony A7C Eye AF in 4k?

Is it possible to use the eye autofocus feature in 4k modes?   I am able to get it working in 1080 but not in 4k however it seems to recognize my face in 4k and do a pretty good job.  I just switched from a Canon EOS R and just assumed this camera would do this.

Anybody have any issues self filming in 4k without eye af if it does not indeed work in the 4k mode?

I knew this was the solution :?

So the only thing was bothering the Eye AF was the setting- Control with/smartphone - Always Connected. There are many weird "Not Available" kind of bugs like these. They should include link in the error message to the related setting, so that we can go there directly and change it. 

I put my camera on flight mode always. I dont use any app things, Because the Sony mobile apps are extremely lame.

I managed to get Eye AF working in 4k after a few hours of banging my head against the wall! Had to turn off proxy recording unfortunately, to achieve it. 

This user manual was very helpful and showed many setting restrictions that will turn it off, unfortunately....
