August 21, 201510 yr Hello all, I feel I remember reading somewhere that older APS-C E mount lenses had software compatibility issues with the A7S. Does anyone know if there is any truth to that? Cheers, T

August 21, 201510 yr While firmware glitches seem rampant these days, the bigger question is, do you really wanna work with a 6 megapixel APS-C crop even if the camera does see in the dark ? `
August 22, 201510 yr Good reason. I can tell you that the 16-50mm kit lens seemed to work perfectly on an A7M2 but after testing, I decided that the lens was not covering enuf area to be worth using it for still photography. I also have the older 18-55mm kit lens but I never tested it on the A7M2. And even if I did, there's bound to be some difference between the A7S and A7M2 firmware so results would probably be inconclusive. `
