May 31, 20196 yr Is there a way to turn the finder´s sensibility off on the a6500? The camera "thinks" that the back plate of my waterhousing is my eye, so it keep turned on and never goes to POWER SAVE mode. My battery goes off rally quick.
June 2, 20196 yr Does it help to turn the viewfinder off manually? Menu: Display/Auto Review1 (menu 2 page 6/9) -> Finder/monitor -> Monitor(manual). Can also map Finder/monitor to a hotkey I think Edited June 2, 20196 yr by Pieter
June 2, 20196 yr Author That´s what I'm doing. I usually set it to Monitor (manual), but the finder sensitivity doesn't allow it to Power Save after 10 seconds. If there was a way to turn this sensitivity off, it would work perfectly!
June 2, 20196 yr If you're really desperate: does it help to tape off the sensor (e.g with black insulation tape)? I read about some hack to make the sensor less sensitive by taping off half of it.
June 2, 20196 yr Author I saw that on youtube, but it doesn´t make it unsensitive, it just avoid the camera from switching from monitor to finder. Edited June 2, 20196 yr by marcosbase
