November 26, 20187 yr Hi there, Any users of the SEL1670Z having this issue?. See the pics I posted the lens body coating is peeling off. Never dropped the lens or anything and I don't have this issue for example with other 3rd party lenses. gary
February 27, 20196 yr Great advertising picture for a lens that costs an arm and a leg!! Me, I would send these photos to Sony, and ask if the damage is covered. Worst case, they'll reject the claim. You've got nothing to lose.

The part where its peeling off they said can be changed but not sure on the cost.
