I've been through the process of trying to guess which stabilization mode works the better on the Sony A7Rii. ( Mainly while shooting video! )
After recently using a Canon 70-300mm IS, I found that the IBIS ACTUALLY seem to do better than the Lens IS, which has been the opposite of what I read would be the case.
Now comes the point where I'm trying to purchase a longer Canon lens and I'm stuck between the 70-200mm 2.8 (non is) or the 70-200mm 2.8 IS ii?
The IS version is great and I've used it a lot, the question being, for the increased price and size, is it actually worth when the in body stabilization seems to be pretty good?
Price is nearly double for the IS version, but when shooting handheld with other cameras in the past its been a must.....
Who's turning away from IS lens and going just in body, thoughts? I love the IBIS with my 16-35mm 2.6 Canon, seems like I wouldn't be let down?!
Then we have the whole other side of the debate with Metabones latest update allowing you to use both, which when I tried didn't seem to work to great, anyone using it?
