Clear Image Zoom

On my Sony 18-105mm, using clear image zoom, I can see a progress bar in viewfinder that moves as I zoom from 18 to 105 and then past 105 into the greater Clear Image Zoom range.

 

I don't see this progress bar when using a the 70-200 f4. I have to go into the Menu find the zoom settings and select "Zoom". Only then can I access Clear Image Zoom.

 

Why doesn't the 70-200 act like the 18-105?

Figured it out. Progress bar is present only with power Zoom lens.

You don't specify what camera you use. CIZ does work

without a PZ lens on some cameras. On the a7-2 I set 

a custom button to bring it up and it works conveniently 

even with 40 yr old adapted prime lenses. Functions do 

vary significantly among various Sony models, but read 

the manual verrrry carefully. Maybe you can use CIZ on 

you 70-210 ... or not. But don't give up too easily.
