I stumbled across this blog rand about Sony photography credentials a while ago. Maybe some will find it a good read. http://www.vladimirmarkov.net/blog/2015/10/14/photography-sony-and-minoltas-legacy

I don't necessarily agree with his assertion that Sony suffered from following Minolta's lead after the purchase, Minolta was a hell of an innovator and produced some great cameras and lenses. Heck, for me, their only DSLR the 7D best ergonomically designed body I've used. I still miss all the analogue control it offered.
