Sony A7ii -> OTG cable -> Nexus 7 tablet, how?

Hi,

 

I've searched around but haven't been able to find any answer, so I'm hoping any of you who have successfully done this can share.

As per title, when I plugged in my Windows phone via its cable to OTG table connected to my Nexus 7 tablet, the tablet straightaway detected the "camera" and the Gallery software launched, allowing me to select a date and import the files (full file size).

 

However when I repeated the process with the A7ii, the tablet didn't react/ respond, as if there was no device "connected" (the A7ii displayed "USB mode" when I turned it on after connecting the cable first).

 

Any suggestion?

Try auto mode for the connection just to see if it can negotiate something that works.
