A quick little lens test before we ran off to school this morning.
This lens is a game changer, the finest piece of glass ever. I did alot of research on this lens and lives up to all of the reviews. The contrast, sharpness, fall-off, bokeh…all gorgeous.
I started to use Sony because of it's compact size and I didn't see any sense in putting giant lenses on this small body, it looks ridiculous and defeats the purpose. These are uncropped @f2.0
I grew up shooting Olympus om-1's and love the small compact Zuiko Lenses, so they wind up being a perfect fit for the Sony System.

Sony a7ii
Olympus 100mm f2

    • I updated LR to the most recent update and was excited about the  tethered capture to LR. I updated my Sony A7rV to the latest firmware, deleted all the Imaging Edge software, restarted my macbookpro and tried to tether the camera using a TetherPro cable however LR doesn't recognize the camera and just spins in the Detecting Camera popup. I tried connecting and disconnecting the cable and the wheel just spins. Yes the camera is on and actually shows the icon that it's connected via USB but LR doesn't connect. Anyone else having this problem and how did you fix it? Thanks!
    • JPEG images are processed by the camera, RAW are unprocessed. Every photo software opens the file with their own starting point. Thus, Lightroom RAW can look different than DXO RAW can look different than ON-1 RAW, and so on. The whole idea of RAW is to have a file that is unprocessed, with all of the data, making it more malleable than a jpeg file. It's up to you to make it look how you want. A jpeg image is the manufacturer's engineers' opinion of how your image should look. They program the processing engine to create a 'final' image, which includes color, contrast, sharpness, brightness, etc.
    • I use a number of smaller bag options.  The problem is most aren't made anymore.  I think these links on Amazon will give you some ideas:   https://a.co/d/aD47NIx  (This is for a Fuji but the A7CII is quite small) https://a.co/d/6Dh0ooL  (This style "holster" bag, holds little other than the camera with a lens attached but it is quite small and useful.  Being top loaded it's easy to drop the camera in and pull it out.) https://a.co/d/13JOzj9 (crossbody bag aka sling bag.  This is small and looks like it might work.  ) https://a.co/d/ccOEc3p (Another small bag that might work.  This one has that leather look also.  )
