Plan on putting it on the a7ii

I've used the MD version of this lens.  You'll get more than what you pay for--very compact and light for its focal length and its pretty darn sharp wide open.  I believe the MD version is a bit lighter than the older MC version; attached is taken with the MD version on an A7R.
