Advertisement Hello tsk1979, Take a look here: A7 shoots the Andromeda Galaxy . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
January 21, 201510 yr I also made a try back in october 20 Its the result of 111 lights, 111 darks and a few bias frames. I used my a7 with Canon FD 85mm f1,2 at f2; ISO 3200; 2 sec.
January 22, 201510 yr Author Wow, this is amazing. I guess no tracking needed at all. Did you use DSS?
January 23, 201510 yr How did you deal with the dark frames? I was sloppy, used a few, probably less than I should have, but it worked great. This was with my Fuji, I think the A7 series may automatically require more dark frames, I have not tried it with my a7R yet.
January 27, 201510 yr Author I shot too few just 3-4! Next time I will shoot equal amount of flats and darks
April 12, 201510 yr Hi - I'm impressed by these and intend to have a go. I have an A7s and an A7ii - which one should give the best results? I'm thinking the silent (electronic) shutter on the A7s will be an advantage? Not sure I fully understand "dark" and "bias" frames... As a total beginner here any advice for a basic reliable set up appreciated (I have very solid tripods with arca ball or fluid heads). Thanks! Tim
